Inspire Northumberland supports artists in the development of their practice and seeks to bring together individuals, businesses and organisations with artists to share and respond in innovative creative ways for the benefit of both parties. Where there are opportunities for artists to be involved through residencies, design and architectural commissions, temporary installations and public engagement projects, information will be offered below.

If you would like to be considered for our artists database please send information on your current practice with low res images (max 4) via email. Applicants must be full time professional practicing artists who have not been in full time education within the last three years, work must show quality of concept and creative ideas as well as experience of art in public spaces.

Sustrans Connect2 South East Northumberland

Inspire Northumberland in partnership with Sustrans seek to appoint a professional practicing artist that shares the ethos of Sustrans to research and develop an Art Strategy for two new cycle and walking routes in Blyth and Bedlington in South East Northumberland that will be completed in 2013.

The proposal deadline is 12noon, 26th February 2010

Shortlisting will take place on 5 March 2010

Interviews will be held on 12 March 2010 (to be confirmed) and the project will be awarded by 15 March 2010.
